| How I Lost 46Kg with Manna |
|
Oorspronklike Brief in Afrikaans - Lees Hier
|
“At 120.8 Kg I was clueless! I had tried different diets, some more successful than others, but everyone ended in the same way- after a few months I would slowly pick up all the weight that I have lost on the diet and end up weighing more than before the diet.
My eldest sister has type 2-Diabetes and someone suggested that she should try Manna Blood Sugar Support. Because I had PCOS and was afraid that I might also get diabetes, I also started drinking Manna. Without really changing my eating habits in the beginning, the scale slowly started going down a kilogram a week.
After I lost 5kg in a month’s time, I thought that if I ate healthier, I would lose weight faster.
I started eating healthier and as a result of Manna, my craving for sweet things disappeared.
Meanwhile I had started walking. My dad had bought me a book at sale, named ‘Walk off Weight’, by Andrew Cate. I read the book without really wanting to, but the author explained everything so well, that I decided to go walking every night with my Dachshunds. We started VERY slowly, because I was very unfit, but I tried to follow Mr. Cates program and every week was a small victory.
With the walking, the weight and centimetres started disappearing faster. It wasn’t long before I wanted to walk an hour every evening and was addicted to my daily exercising. Because we live in the Koue Bokkeveld, the winter is pretty cold, but the rain (and even snow) couldn’t stop me.
Later we bought an Optical Bike and now my husband exercises with me. We take turns to ‘step’ or to exercise with the weights. It is wonderful to have a goal together and it’s a motivation when you are 2 people- the days when I’m lazy, he motivates me and vice versa.
The exercise has a ‘snow ball effect’, because the lighter and fitter you become, the more you want to exercise and the higher your goals become.
As for my weight, I had never concisely decided to diet like this. Slowly I changed my lifestyle and noticed how much better you feel when you exercise regularly and eat the right food. I also set short term goals for myself. Last year August we went to Victoria Falls for my 40th birthday and my goal was to weigh 95kg before we went (this was my first milestone and a big motivation). Since then I have had many such milestones to be a certain weight on a specific date or for a certain event. I think if I had initially known I had to lose 50kg, I would have immediately given up hope.
The positive response and support from friends, family and colleagues (those who still recognise me) is wonderful. Another big positive thing is all the new clothes, and that I finally have a choice of what I want to wear- I used to be a 24 and now I am a 12 or a 14. I sometimes still can’t believe that something will fit me, until I put it on.
The funny thing is people’s reaction when they ask me what diet I followed and I answer NONE specific diet, I only drank my Manna Blood Sugar Support (and no appetite suppressants), eat healthily and exercised 5 times a week. Most of the time it’s unbelievable for them. I now understand that no diet will ever work if you don’t make a mental shift to change your lifestyle.
I once again say thank you for your product, without it I would not have reached my goals.”
