Q. What is the difference between the 7-Day Damage Control Program and the normal Manna Menu Plans?
The 7-Day Damage Control Program are designed to get insulin and blood sugar as low as possible and to restore the cell sensitivity in the body.
The Manna Menu Plans are normal Weight Management Plans to help with constant healthy weight loss and management.
Which Option should I use?
It all depends on your condition. If you have a insulin related ailment, take control of your health by following the 7-Day Damage Control Program.
If you just want to lose a few kilograms or need to manage a healthy weight, follow the Manna Menu Plans and recipes.
Q. What do I do after the 7 days if I want to lose more weight?
If you are doing very well on the 7-Day Damage Control Program, you can continue with it, otherwise you can change to the Manna Menu Plans.
Q. Can I repeat the 7-Day Damage Control Program?
The 7-Day Damage Control Program was designed to get a grip on your health and insulin management, but you may repeat it anytime you feel the need.
Q. Can anyone use this Program?
This plan may be used by anybody, but it is very important to determine your Metabolic Type first and then adjust the menu’s accordingly.
Q. Can I switch between the 7-Day Damage Control Program and the Manna Menu Plans?
No. It depends on you condition. If you have a Insulin Problem, do the 7-Day Damage Control Program first and then continue with the Manna Menu Plans.
Q. How does this Program work?
The menu plans were developed to keep insulin production as low as possible.
- Follow the rule exactly (Nutrition, No Hunger, Exercise, Sleep)
Follow the plan exactly as it is, without making any changes. - Mix and match between days
You may mix and match between days. For example, if you would like to have a breakfast from Day 1, Lunch from Day 5 and Dinner from Day 7 - you may do so. - Repeat a meal or a day
You may repeat a meal as often as you wish. For example, if you want to have the same breakfast each day, that's fine. This will not affect your insulin management. Or, if you want to cook the same dinner on several days, you may do so.
Q. What happens if I don't like something on the Menu plan?
No problem! Choose another meal from one of the other days.
Q. What about snacks? Can I choose something different from the recommended ones?
In order to provide the optimum nutrition, I have suggested mainly fruit or biltong & nuts as snacks. You may if you wish, substitute these with other snacks, but be very cautious that you don’t eat anything which can stimulate insulin production.
Q. What about exercise?
It is recommended that you combine the diet with 30-45 minutes aerobic exercise each day (either walking or any of the other types of aerobic exercises - indoors or outdoors, like swimming, cycling (outside or stationery bike), jogging, and running.
- If you currently take no exercise at all, then 30 minutes each day is adequate.
- If you currently take regular exercise, you may continue your normal routine.
- Ideally, gradually work up to a regular 45 minutes a day, on most days.
Q. Should I drink water?
Yes. Drink 6-8 glasses water each day.
Q. What about alcohol?
To make sure you are getting the best possible nutrition during the 7-Day Damage Control Program, we recommend that you avoid using any alcohol.
Q. What about fast food?
Most fast foods are highly processed and high in carbohydrates. The 7-Day Damage Control Program is all about planning to get your health back. You have to choose.
